Moving On Up + New Wallpaper

We did it! We graduated from studio living to a one-bedroom apartment with a family of three. And let me tell you, it was quite the journey.
First things first, let’s talk about the process of finding a new place. It was HARD. Whenever hubby and I found something we really loved, someone else snatched it off the market and we were back to square one. But, after many apartment tours, applications, shed tears and hope, we found the perfect place for us with TONS of amenities including a pool, fitness center, playground and so much more.
The best part? We now have walls. Actual walls that separate rooms. Can you believe it?! No more sleeping in the “living room” while hubby watches TV in the “bedroom.” We even have a door that closes. It’s like we’re living in luxury.
Before moving in, I wanted to create mood boards for the living room, dining room and bedrooms and share them with hubby so we were both on the same page. It’s safe to say that he loved vibes of every last room so I’m stoked to work on this project and taking you along on this home decor journey.
I created these mood boards using Canva and I’m obsessed with how they turned out!
One of the first things I plan on tackling is getting wallpaper in the living room . The vibe we have for the living room area is a modern African inspired theme and we chose a really fun print to reflect that on the walls from Love Vs. Design.
Love Vs. Design allows you to create truly custom wallpaper in millions of color combinations. Before deciding on the wallpaper, I created 6 wallpaper samples with different color combinations and I plan on sharing more on that in a different post.

Oh I absolutely love that! Mood boards! I don’t see myself moving anytime soon but I’m ready for a change!
